The book answers the question asked by little boy Momo if a life without love is possible. He doesn’t go to school, and he has a unique way of looking at things in life, so the narration was amusing to me.


Momo’s mother abandoned him with Madame Rosa, who is essentially a babysitter for the children of prostitutes. The Walls of Malapaga I could literally see and hear Momo telling me his story.

At first sight, I was kind of excited to read this book; It seemed to be engaging and philosophic which is something that I like a lot with books but then He left a note which said that his death had no relation to Seberg’s suicide the previous year. Madame Rosa is a poverty-stricken Jew in her late sixties, and the other main character in the novel is the ten-year-old Arab Mohammed, usually called Momo. Edit Storyline Madame Rosa lives in a sixth-floor walkup in the Pigalle; she’s a retired prostitute, Jewish and an Auschwitz survivor, a foster mom to children of other prostitutes.
